The company headlines core values which are seldom followed. The environment is fairly cutthroat with pay being based on politics rather then merit. People are generally well performing but not people friendly. For instance I have been on a call where my manager at the time told one of the heads of the project(above her) to shut up and not speak again... this isn't the worst of it. She then spent the next couple of months basically plotting on how to throw that team under the bus at the expense of the project. When I tried to help she me over on my review. It is pretty standard to run into upstanding indiviuals like this at Accenture. Par for the coarse is anywhere from 50-80 hours of work a week. Granted working hard is expected and does nothing for your performance reviews. I would recomend staying away. I'm currently looking to leave. Oh a side story. I was on a project where 3 of about 7 key people had to go into to the doctors for stress related incidents... basically, we all thought we were having heart attacks... and me in particular collapsed in the company parking lot. But you keep going business as usual. You feel guilted if you were to take time off for your health that you are not contributing..
Only Pro you will get a lot of experience in your 60-80 hour work weeks.....
Cons: Health issues are not uncommon due to stress and hours. for everything else see above. I would say my experience is pretty typical

Many smart individuals with a young and energetic culture. It's difficult for analysts to stand out though. They need a revised recognition system.
$57,600 The pay is on the low side. Accenture needs to make their salaries more competitive.

Training is extensive and very good. The best thing about Accenture is that you get promoted quickly. It's a huge organization and there are so may opportunities for those that want them. Pay is average at best and you must have no problems traveling often and working long hours which grows tiring after some time.
Decent benefits package but the pay does not match how much we work we do. $68,000 annually.

You put long hours, a minimum of 10 day. They have a very set promotion schedule that they rarely budge from. You have to spend X amount of time in a position before you move up. It will take usually 2-3 years to get promoted from Analyst to Consultant and around 4-8 years to get promoted past consultant. You have to be a top performer to stand out and get promoted. Most projects tend to be software system implementation projects. You’ll get to work with a diverse group of people which is always good. I would describe the culture of Accenture as friendly with good people.
